About the Role:

FBR Construction Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team as a Commercial Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a key role in the commercial management of multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management: Lead the commercial management of multiple sites to maximise cash flow and margins.
  • Pricing and Variations: Manage the pricing and variation accounts for both upstream and downstream projects.
  • Commercial Issues: Resolve commercial issues and provide expert advice to the project team.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients to ensure commercial requirements are met.
  • Site Delivery Team: Liaise and coordinate with the site delivery team to collate information on a day-to-day basis.
  • Commercial Expertise: Provide commercial and contractual expertise to the site delivery team.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with commercial agreements.
  • Change Management: Implement change management processes and provide early warnings to stakeholders.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts using JCT and NEC frameworks.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Manage and prepare cash flow forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in successfully managing projects, with experience in social housing refurbishment and measured term contracts.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Projects and Astra Projects is essential.
  • Education: Degree in a relevant field, such as quantity surveying or construction management.
