About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Cygnet Pindar House, a 22-bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment facility for men affected by acquired brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, advice, and treatment to individuals with acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
  • Work closely with nurses, OTs, physios, psychologists, and psychiatrists to achieve person-centred goals and support each individual in their planned outcomes.
  • Supervise and manage another SLT who works in the service on a full-time basis.

Requirements

  • Degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council).
  • Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
  • Experience of managing acquired speech, language, and communication needs associated with neurological changes.
  • Experience of eating, drinking, feeding, and swallowing assessment and management.
