About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Black Fox Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and directing the quantity surveying function for our clients, ensuring commercial targets are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze tender documents from the commercial department to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough cost breakdowns for manufactured items, identifying labor and material requirements.
  • Prepare project budgets for the joinery workshop, taking into account all relevant factors.
  • Value and agree on the cost of any variations, ensuring transparency and fairness.
  • Produce monthly reports on assigned projects, highlighting cost, value, and reconciliation.
  • Source and obtain quotations for estimate build-up costs, identifying labor and material requirements.
  • Liaise with purchasing and buying teams to secure specialist providers.
  • Attend internal hand-over meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide feedback to the commercial department on tender values versus actual costs.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects allocated, leveraging your expertise and experience.
