Job Title: Facilities Services Manager

VANRATH is assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Facilities Services Manager for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension.

Job Summary

The Facilities Services Manager will report to the Corporate Facilities Manager and will be responsible for the efficient running of the facilities department within the South region across the office estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the effective planning and delivery of all necessary services to the organisation
  • Contribute to the development of new strategies to ensure the department is continually improving
  • Monitor expenditure within the region and assist in the preparation of the department's annual budget
  • Ensure value for money by evaluating work practices and continually monitoring existing service delivery
  • Manage facilities staff and operations to ensure all services are being provided within the South Region
  • Hold regular performance review meetings with contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of service provision
  • Oversee and ensure governance procedures are in place, deal with issues, and manage invoices in a timely manner
  • Assist senior management with planned works and projects, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain partnerships to optimise delivery
Requirements
  • Candidates must have a degree in a Building or Construction related field, plus two years relevant experience at a management or supervisory level
  • Or A HNC/HND in a Building or Construction related field, plus three years relevant experience at a management or supervisory level
  • Or Candidates who do not possess the above qualifications may also be considered if they have at least 5 years experience working at a management or supervisory level within a medium to large organisation, demonstrating oversight of multiple buildings from a Facilities or Estate Management perspective
Remuneration

£33,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
