About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team at Vermelo RPO. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our product range to ensure we meet our business plan targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Product Head to develop and maintain our product range, ensuring it remains current, competitive, compliant, and able to meet business targets.
  • Pricing and Analysis: Present pricing recommendations to the Product Head based on analysis of data, broker intel, pricing, and market trends.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research through broker intel, media, and personal contacts to stay up-to-date on developing issues and opportunities.
  • Key Account Management: Manage key accounts and other agreed key business relationships to maintain and develop profitable accounts and explore product opportunities.
  • Broker Relationships: Nurture broker relationships to meet the needs of our business plan while using those relationships to obtain feedback from customers.
  • Policy Issues: Investigate and respond to queries from the operational area in relation to policy issues.
About You
  • Experience: Experienced Underwriter with a strong analytical background and previous experience within the insurance market.
  • Skills: Commercial awareness, market knowledge, process awareness, data analysis, and excellent communication skills.
  • Education: Strong understanding of underwriting performance metrics and ability to collate and present key account information.
