Position Overview

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Financial Control Manager with the preparation and generation of monthly financial reports and supporting documentation, as well as the development of annual statutory financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

In this vital position within our finance department, you will:

  • Manage month-end journal entries, accruals, and prepayments while analyzing cost variances.
  • Ensure precise reconciliations of personnel costs and aid in the creation of monthly financial reports.
  • Step in for the Financial Control Manager as required.
  • Oversee the transactional team to guarantee timely invoicing and debt recovery, while preparing client communication analyses.
  • Lead initiatives for process digitization and manage cost allocations.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and support VAT reporting, PSA calculations, and budget holder reviews.
  • Supervise the Fixed Assets Register, prepare for audits, handle ad hoc tasks, and generate monthly cash flow statements.

Candidate Profile
  • A CIMA/ACCA qualification or active pursuit of such, along with experience in a finance environment, is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, MS Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience with a structured month-end closing process is crucial.
