About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including patient information and clinical data.
- Manage the Consultant's diary and clinic typing, ensuring efficient and effective communication.
- Support patients through their clinical pathways, updating the Patient Administration System (PAS)/Medway system as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with management, doctors, waiting list team, and secretarial assistants to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide administrative support to other specialties within the Business Units as needed.
Requirements
- GCSE English Language and Maths Grade C or equivalent.
- Typing, Audio, and Word/Text Processing skills to RSA III or equivalent knowledge acquired through further experience.
- Recent Medical Secretarial experience and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of PAS/Medway and 18 week RTT pathway.
