Location: Watton, Norfolk

Employment Type: Full Time - £14.50 to £16.50 (based on experience)

Role Overview:

  • An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Culinary Specialist to join the kitchen team at a 30-bed family care facility.
  • The position requires commitment to work 36-40 hours weekly, including alternate weekends.
  • This role is essential, extending beyond meal preparation to ensure a delightful dining experience.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that meals are nutritious and well-balanced, meeting the dietary needs of residents in a care environment.
  • You will oversee the catering operations within the facility, upholding high standards of food quality and service.
  • Ultimately, as a Culinary Specialist in a care home, your mission will be to enhance the dining experience for the residents.

Candidate Profile:

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Cooking or equivalent qualifications, along with a food hygiene certification. Experience in catering management within a care home or similar setting is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in effective inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering processes.
  • Proven track record of maintaining standards in the Catering Department in accordance with Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
