Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials AG. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and transportation functions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and production teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other external partners to ensure reliable and efficient logistics services.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve logistics operations.
Requirements
1-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
