A distinguished and expansive Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is in search of a committed and enthusiastic Religious Studies Educator to become a permanent member of the teaching staff at one of their exceptional institutions. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact within a vibrant and supportive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prepare, and deliver stimulating and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons that address the needs of a diverse student body.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and critical analysis.
- Evaluate, track, and communicate student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the Religious Studies curriculum and engage in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to foster student success and well-being.
- Embody the values and principles of the school and MAT, advocating for respect, tolerance, and understanding.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Religious Studies at the secondary level (KS3/KS4); experience at KS5 is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong command of the subject matter and a genuine enthusiasm for Religious Studies.
- Exceptional classroom management abilities and the capacity to inspire and engage students.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and a collaborative teaching approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young individuals.
