Construction Resources is a leading contractor specializing in Mechanical and Electrical services.

The Mechanical and Electrical Division is tasked with the provision, upkeep, and servicing of all gas-related operations across various commercial properties.

Our Facilities Management team oversees a diverse portfolio of properties in both public and private sectors.

Their mission is to ensure that the environments of these managed properties meet the highest standards and comply with all legal regulations.

This encompasses executing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, as well as mechanical, electrical, and building services tailored to each client’s needs while adhering to the company's stringent standards and client KPIs.


Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Commercial Heating Engineer will be to implement gas compliance maintenance strategies across multiple commercial properties.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Project Manager within the Maintenance Division, the role will focus predominantly on maintenance tasks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive service calls for various clients.
  • Conduct gas and plumbing installation tasks, with an emphasis on reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Perform testing and inspection of mechanical services within client properties, along with general repairs of heating, hot water, and ventilation systems.
  • Uphold a positive and professional image of the department by adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Work safely and responsibly, aligning with the company's values and operational policies to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, the Commercial Heating Engineer should possess:

  • Strong planning, organizational, and monitoring skills.
  • A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in work approach.
  • Legal authorization to work in the UK.

Required Certifications:
The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications:

  • Domestic Gas: CCN1 Core Domestic Safety
  • HYR1 Wall Heaters and Gas Fires
  • Commercial Gas: CDGA1
  • Direct Fired Heating Appliances
  • CIGA1 Indirect Fired Gas Appliances
  • CORT1 Gas Fired Radiant Tube and Plaque Heaters
  • TPCP1 or 1A Testing and Purging
  • Experience in Commercial Catering is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Minimum Level B+ in Mathematics & English (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in computer usage
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
