Job Summary

The Gas/Heating Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems, including gas appliances. This role involves managing a team of heating engineers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Supervising and coordinating the activities of heating engineers and plumbers, assigning tasks, scheduling work, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and regulations, maintaining accurate records of Gas Safe registration and other relevant certifications, and conducting health and safety checks and quality assurance inspections.
  • Technical Support: Offering technical assistance and guidance to the team, ensuring all heating and plumbing work meets internal and external standards, and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
  • Customer Service: Addressing customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction with the services provided, and liaising with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Project Management: Overseeing the planning and execution of heating and plumbing projects, monitoring project progress, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a heating engineer or similar role.
  • Gas Safe registered.
  • Strong knowledge of heating systems, gas appliances, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time position with occasional overtime.
  • Field-based work with some office duties.
  • May require travel to various job sites.
