We are currently seeking an Associate Project Engineer to contribute to various phases of project development. This position is ideal for recent graduates eager to embark on a career in the energy sector.

As an Associate Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the technical setup and execution of projects.
  • Supporting the creation and correspondence of construction and environmental method statements, along with other necessary documentation.
  • Conducting investigations as required.
  • Preparing technical specifications, calculations, and designs for CAD documentation.
  • Interpreting customer technical specifications and supporting all technical and commercial aspects of projects.
  • Assisting in the design and documentation of civil and structural components.
  • Evaluating, organizing, and prioritizing tasks within the overall project timeline and client requirements.
  • Participating in project meetings and taking notes as necessary.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting against the project plan, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Managing costs and schedules to ensure adherence to agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Preparing daily progress reports while offshore.
  • Liaising with and managing third-party contractors to ensure equipment suitability.
  • Supporting justifications for contractual variations during projects.
  • Interpreting client requirements and addressing design parameters and engineering challenges.
  • Providing supervision for grouting operations, including mechanics and technicians.
  • Managing subcontractor expeditions.
  • Producing timesheets promptly and ensuring accurate recording of hours.
  • Assisting in the resolution of issues arising from project engineering reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and policies while on and offshore.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Human Factors and their role in incident prevention.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of behavioral-based safety systems.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Capability to drive engineering projects to completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and IT applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MEng or BEng in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Possession of a full U.K. driving license.
  • Basic Pro Engineer / CAD training is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an offshore organization is a plus.
  • OGUK Medicals (training can be provided).
