C++ Senior Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying software as part of a complex electronic system that integrates multiple sub-systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a family of disruptive network security products that protect customers' networks and data from cyber-attack. Our technology is industry leading and is going through an exciting stage of development and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software using Modern C++ and the STL, with a passion for developing good code and working within modern development techniques like TDD and pair/group-programming.
  • Collaborate with our dynamic team to produce high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers.
  • Work closely with our security team to ensure that our products meet the highest security standards.
  • Contribute to the development of our software development practices and tools, such as agile development, version control, software testing, continuous integration, and virtualisation.
Requirements
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Electronics, or a similar subject.
  • Experience with Modern C++ and the STL, with a strong understanding of software development practices and tools.
  • Able to obtain Security clearance.
  • Familiarity with software development practices and tools, such as agile development, version control, software testing, continuous integration, and virtualisation.
  • Experience with Python is desirable.
  • Experience with leading design direction is beneficial.
  • Bare metal and/or Linux and real-time OS experience is beneficial.
  • Cloud development experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge or experience of network security/network programming is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with object orientation and/or function design patterns is beneficial.
  • CI and automation experience is beneficial.
