Financial Director

We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded finance leader to join our team as a Financial Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the club's finances and supporting our efforts to improve every aspect of the running of the club.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Management: Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the club's financial operations are efficient and effective.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial reviews and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making and enhance financial performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the finance team to ensure they are cross-functional and collaborative, and provide guidance and support to ensure they are high-performing.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including UEFA Financial Fair Play and EFL reporting requirements.
We welcome applications from candidates with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, and professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent. Proven experience of at least 8-10 years in financial management and operations is required, ideally within the sports or wider events and hospitality industry or community-owned organisations.
Prior to commencing work, a right to work document(s) must be presented, and references and a DBS Check will need to be undertaken.
