Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support and promoting the well-being of children and young people within the family unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and implement effective support plans to promote family stability and well-being.
  • Collaborate with families to identify and address risk factors, such as abuse and neglect, and develop strategies to prevent statutory social care intervention.
  • Work in partnership with families to ensure timely and appropriate support, including coordinating with other services and agencies.
  • Employ a holistic 'Think Family' approach to coordinate and enhance collaboration among all services working with the family.
  • Implement, monitor, and review family support intervention plans and evidence-based parenting programs.

Requirements:

  • Experience in direct work with children and families, preferably in a social care or child welfare setting.
  • A valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel to client locations.
