Senior Molecular Biologist (Genome Engineering)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Molecular Biologist to join our team at the Mary Lyon Centre at MRC Harwell. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing molecular biology techniques to support our research programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to advance our understanding of human disease
  • Analyse data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage a team of graduate-level research assistants
  • Review data for the validation of new alleles and analyse production data to improve lab processes

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent in Biological Sciences or related field
  • Research experience involving the use of molecular biology
  • Strong background in molecular biology techniques, including PCR and Sanger sequencing analysis
  • Experience with gene-editing techniques, such as CRISPR/Cas9
