Electrical Engineer Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at Gibson Search, you will be working with industrial material handling equipment to develop electrical solutions for hazardous areas, ensuring compliance with ATEX, Ex, and IEC Ex regulations.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems using AutoCAD, defining enclosure layouts, and specifying product test requirements. Additionally, you will create project documents, generate Bills of Materials, and manage projects.

Key requirements for this role include a strong understanding of electrical cabling for automotive, industrial, or marine applications, hands-on experience with electrical wiring, and the ability to design electrical systems using AutoCAD. You should also be able to specify test requirements, select components for integration, and understand electrical/mechanical system integration.

Preferred qualifications include a broad knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems, experience working in a highly regulated environment, and a background in fault finding complex electrical systems. Education to HND or Degree level in a relevant subject is required.
