This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, developing your skills and expertise in control system software solutions. You will have the chance to work with a range of technologies, including Siemens, Rockwell, and industry standard communication protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code in Ladder Logic and other languages as required.
- Establish and enforce a consistent coding format based on internal standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, including the test department.
- Collaborate with other engineers to drive technical excellence within the team.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage your workload to meet deadlines.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution and overseeing functional software testing.
- Consult with customers to develop an understanding of their machines and requirements.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers.
- Create, maintain, and update relevant documentation.
- Degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Member of a related professional body, preferably chartered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software design and development of systems controls.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale, mission-critical systems.
- Proven experience in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industry standard communication protocols.
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000.
- A Monday to Friday schedule, 8am to 4:30pm.
- A dynamic and supportive team environment.
