Job Summary

Cadent Gas is seeking a skilled Gas Operations Engineer to join our Energy Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all pressure regulating installations, pipelines, and their associated systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks on pressure regulating installations (working up to 85 bar) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the delivery and maintenance of PMAC (Remote monitoring/operation) systems.
  • Collaborate with third-party companies on works and their impact on Cadent assets (Plant protection activities).
  • Supervise excavations that are in close proximity to Cadent assets (Plant protection activities).
  • Conduct pipeline inspections and maintenance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform condition monitoring of pipelines and other assets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in gas asset operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering activities is essential, with a qualification desirable.
  • Hold a full valid UK driving license.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours and attend training.
  • Be willing to work on standby (Weekly rota, currently operating at a 1 week in 4 frequency) - £531 per full week at Role 2 (Core Lower) rate, rising to £563 at Role 3 (Enhanced) rate.
