About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an After School Club Deputy Manager. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our after school care provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of playworkers to deliver high-quality childcare provision.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the after school club, including staff supervision and performance management.
  • Childcare Provision
    • Deliver safe, creative, and stimulating play activities to meet the needs of children aged 3-11 years.
    • Develop positive relationships with children and their families to ensure their individual needs are met.
    • Provide full care for children, including delivery to school, collection from school, and safe delivery to parents/carers.
  • Administration and Communication
    • Manage the occupancy levels of the after school club, including registers, waiting lists, and childcare places.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Ensure all records are maintained accurately and confidentially, in line with data protection and safeguarding policies.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • DBS clearance and safeguarding training.
  • First Aid and Food Hygiene certifications.
  • Experience in childcare provision, preferably in an after school club setting.
