About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sleep Editor to join our team at Future Publishing. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality reviews of mattresses and sleep products, developing test procedures, and managing a team of reviewers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement test procedures for mattresses and sleep products
  • Collaborate with the Senior Sleep Editor to set priorities and agree output targets
  • Manage a team of in-house and freelance reviewers
  • Plan and commission content, working with other editors as needed
  • Regularly review mattresses and sleep products, ensuring they meet our editorial standards
  • Manage a high-value portfolio of existing mattress reviews, ensuring they remain current and aligned with our best practices
  • Broaden your skills by contributing to social media and video content
Requirements
  • Interest in mattresses and sleep products
  • Track record in product testing and reviews creation
  • Ability to interpret test data to inform rankings in buyer's guides
  • Understanding of SEO and its importance
  • Writing and editing skills, focused on online audiences
  • Experience managing freelancers or management skills
  • Experience writing about sleep products
  • Planning skills, including for peak retail events
