Job Title: Finance Controller

Our client, a global manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finance team in the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and other financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed sales analysis.
  • Preparation of actual vs. budget overhead reports and variance analysis.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and liaison with external and internal auditors.
  • Capex project spend control and analysis, as well as vendor tooling spend control and analysis.
  • Support with the preparation of the VAT return and Making Tax Digital.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and disclosure notes, as well as approval of payroll and ad hoc bank payments.
  • Finance point of contact for HMRC Imports & Exports documentation/controls.
Requirements:
  • Relevant accountancy qualification and excellent numeracy skills.
  • Proven finance experience and strong people management skills.
  • Manufacturing or automotive experience is desirable, as is previous customs experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, prioritize workload, and be self-motivated.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and present information to various levels.
  • Computer literate with advanced Excel skills.
