Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful Special Needs school in the Havant area.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a teacher, supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks and creating a supportive and nurturing environment where the needs of all children are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and will be able to support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with learning tasks under the guidance of a teacher
  • Create a supportive and nurturing environment for all children
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills
  • Ensure the welfare of the pupils is the top priority

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply for one with GSL Education
