About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Options Officer to join our team at G2 Recruitment Solutions Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering an efficient and effective Housing Options, Homelessness and Prevention service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: To support the delivery of a high-quality Housing Options, Homelessness and Prevention service, ensuring that customers receive the best possible support to retain their existing accommodation.
  • Customer Support: Assist and support customers to navigate the housing options process, providing guidance and signposting to partner agencies as needed.
  • Case Investigation: Investigate cases where there is a threat of homelessness, working closely with customers to identify solutions and provide support.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client details, ensuring that all information is secure and confidential.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Register Providers, private landlords, and other agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Working with the Team

You will work closely with the Senior Housing Options Officer to represent the Housing team at meetings, both internally and externally. This will involve working across wider Council departments to assist in the prevention of homelessness.

Requirements
  • Experience of working in a housing-related field, with a focus on homelessness prevention and service delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting deadlines and priorities.
  • Knowledge of housing laws and regulations, with a focus on homelessness prevention and service delivery.
