Position Overview:
We are seeking a Lead Front-End Developer who is passionate about enhancing the home buying experience and building a top-tier frontend engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with fellow front-end developers and the wider engineering team to create a seamless and engaging user experience for Acre. You should be driven, adaptable to various technologies, and take pride in your work. Our team prioritizes user-centered design, and you will contribute to developing a visually stunning and unique system in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
As a pivotal member of the engineering team, you will:
  • Design, implement, and test user interfaces that empower consumers, brokers, and operational teams to effectively navigate the mortgage research and application process.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code that ensures a delightful user experience.
  • Engage with the business to translate requirements into actionable development tasks while mentoring team members.

As a Lead Front-End Engineer, you will also promote software engineering best practices and foster a culture of quality within the Frontend Development team and across the codebase. Opportunities for progression into people management roles are available if desired.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Passionate about software engineering and delivering high-quality products.
  • Skilled in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Proficient in client-side JavaScript (Typescript), React, CSS, and HTML.
  • Committed to utilizing automated testing platforms and unit tests to ensure code is readable and maintainable.
  • Experienced with issue management, code versioning, and continuous integration and deployment tools.
