Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Network Officer to join our team at SGN. As a Network Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of gas to Multiple Occupancy Buildings (MOBs) across our network.
Key Responsibilities
- Gas Supply Management: Manage gas supplies to MOBs across SGN's networks in Southern and Scotland, including domestic gas risers and complex distribution systems (CDS) supplying larger commercial buildings.
- Process Development: Develop and implement processes for CDS, ensuring efficient and safe gas supply to MOBs.
- Survey Programmes: Manage CDS survey programmes to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Safety Management: Support the process for managing safety concerns with Network assets supplying MOBs or any building safety concerns or risks.
- Collaboration: Work with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and other building owners to provide information packs relating to Building Safety Cases for high-rise buildings.
- Buy-out Process: Manage the buy-out process for gas supplies to MOBs.
- Reporting: Complete management information and reports as required.
- Team Management: Manage a small team to achieve required objectives across all areas of work.
- Support: Support the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required.
Requirements
- Motivation: Highly motivated with a flexible approach.
- Adaptability: Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Strong communication skills supporting regular liaison with other departments and stakeholders within SGN or externally.
- Knowledge: Good knowledge of SGN systems and processes.
- Learning: Ability to learn and develop new skills quickly.
