Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Technician to join our client's team at a leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met through the application of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT of in-process and finished machined components and high integrity fabrication welds to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Produce technical NDT reports and understand the differences between Ferromagnetic & Non-Ferromagnetic Alloy materials.
  • Utilise strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings.
  • Competently use Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word.
  • Work well within a team environment and maintain a can-do attitude.
  • Be flexible and willing to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
  • Engage in personal development and be willing to increase knowledge in the field.
  • Train and pass on knowledge to other team members.
  • Assist in various other QC activities such as Pressure Testing, Hardness Testing, Heat Treatment, PMI, and Thickness Checks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in producing technical NDT reports.
  • Experience working within an Engineering production environment.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and Engineering Standards such as ASME / API is advantageous but not essential.
  • DPI PCN Level 2.
  • UT (3.1, 3.2) PCN Level 2.
  • MPI PCN Level 2.
