About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Manager to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the Safeguarding, Planning, Performance and Directly Provided Services Directorate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver effective business management solutions to support Directly Provided Services and the Safeguarding and Access team.
  • Provide high-quality financial management and accountancy services, including advising and influencing the service to make informed financial decisions.
  • Work closely with Adult Social Care budgets to identify areas for improvement and develop sustainable models for delivering adult social care services.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, including the Assistant Director and Heads of Services, to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in finance business partnering and financial management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in finance and business management.
