About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead our Digital Portfolio Management Office. As the Head of Portfolio Management Office, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our Defence Digital Delivery Portfolio of Programmes and Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain standards for Portfolio, Programme and Project Management for Digital Delivery across Defence, including the implementation and sharing of P3M best practice.
  • Champion the implementation of the Digital portfolio across the organisation and provide overall lead and direction.
  • Work with Digital Strategy, Planning and demand teams to ensure Technical and Business roadmaps are reflected in the Portfolio and that Defence Digital are embedded in Defence level planning and approvals.
  • Provide expert guidance, support and insight on the Digital Delivery Portfolio, Programmes and Projects and act as the source of all project information and metrics.
  • Drive insight and action across the Digital Delivery Portfolio, ensuring the Portfolio delivers impact across Defence by using Data and MI to add insight, coherence and value.
Requirements
  • A track record of having responsibility for large multi-billion-pound technology/Digital portfolios.
  • A track record of managing and delivering complex Digital projects and programmes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills– to drive the Digital Delivery portfolio agenda by clearly communicating ideas and solutions clearly and enthusiastically to a full range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable understanding of complex acquisition and Digital portfolio delivery.
