Our friendly and supportive team comprises an Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Team Leader, a Community Nurse Team Leader, highly skilled Practice Nurses, and dedicated Health Care Assistants. We believe in teamwork, mutual respect, professionalism, and compassion as core values.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our clinical team to provide essential patient care services within the practice and in patients' homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with new patient health checks and ECG recordings.
  • Performing phlebotomy procedures and basic wound dressings.
  • Administering basic injections, such as B12 and flu vaccinations, in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Conducting NHS Health Checks and chaperoning duties as required.
  • Processing and managing laboratory samples requested by GPs and nurses.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment for patient care, including assisting GPs during minor procedures.
  • Supporting the assessment and monitoring of patients with chronic health conditions.
  • Contributing to raising awareness of health and well-being within our patient population.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A genuine commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A strong understanding of patient confidentiality and ethical practices.
  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Support Worker or in a similar role.
  • Experience dealing with patients and providing compassionate care.
