About the Role

The Berwick upon Tweed Town Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Officer to lead and support Councillors and staff. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for maintaining statutory duties, ensuring high levels of corporate governance, and being accountable to the Council for the effective management of all its resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead staff and work closely with Councillors and partners to deliver local services
• Maintain and build new relationships in the local community
• Ensure the town of Berwick upon Tweed has a voice across the area

Requirements

• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
• Experience in building successful organizations
• Excellent communication and delegation skills
• Ability to make difficult decisions
