Job Details

We are currently recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at a first opinion small animal practice in the Portsmouth area of Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-time hours worked over 4 days a week with 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH.
  • Interesting and varied surgical and medical caseload with at least 3 mornings of surgery each week.
  • Busy with an active client base of around 67% canine, 27% feline, and less than 6% rabbit and exotic.
  • Ideal candidate will have good routine surgical and medical skills and be looking for a role allowing more surgical days.
  • Join a friendly, welcoming, and close-knit team of 2 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 nurse assistant, 1 practice manager/practice owner, and 4 receptionists.
  • CPD allowance and certificate study supported.
  • RCVS and BVA memberships and VDS fees paid.
  • Excellent location to enjoy city life, excellent transport links, and close to the coast and AONB for outdoor pursuits.
Requirements
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
  • Registered with the RCVS.
  • Good routine small animal surgical and medical skills.
  • Looking for a role with more surgical time.
