Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant - Unqualified

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Secondary Teaching Assistant - Unqualified in an outstanding Secondary School in Tower Hamlets.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Teacher to gain valuable experience and support pupils in their educational journey. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant - Unqualified, you will work alongside experienced Teachers and SLTs to promote academic confidence and growth to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils in 1:1 and small group intervention sessions
  • Review pupil performance and work with teachers to create action plans to improve learning
  • May involve supporting SEN and SEMH pupils (ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression etc)
  • Work alongside the teacher to effectively deliver the lesson

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications
  • Passion for education and supporting young people
  • Previous experience working alongside young people is required
  • Ability to effectively work within a team and maintain positive relationships
  • Confidence and experience working with those with challenging behaviour (SEN or SEMH needs)
