Electrical Engineer Planning Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take on a Principal Electrical Engineer role for our client based in Preston.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the successful delivery of electrical design, specification, quality, and cost targets within the Electrical Engineering team.
  • Clearly define, break down, and cost project scopes with clear deliverables for the design team and subcontractors.
  • Track and forecast overhead recovery, implementing a standard electrical equipment database to monitor plan versus actual progress.
  • Provide budget hours and component pricing for new bids while managing load and capacity planning across the electrical engineering team.
  • Lead value engineering and cost reduction initiatives, demonstrating measurable improvements.
Requirements:
  • Extensive background in managing electrical or electrically focused project delivery, including team leadership and subcontractor management.
  • Practical experience with EC&I systems and electrical design tools.
  • Skilled in effective resource planning, team leadership, and project management.
  • Ability to build a culture of accountability and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Experienced in process engineering, material handling systems, and control mechanisms.
