Responsible for multiple locations in Tilehurst

Our commitment lies in collaborating with ASDA to ensure their stores are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, consistently surpassing their expectations.

We are in search of dedicated and enthusiastic Field Maintenance Technicians to become part of our Facilities Management Team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Field Maintenance Technicians will execute minor general maintenance and operational support tasks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across various locations.

Reporting to the Multi-Site Technician, appropriate training will be provided to ensure proficiency in the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):

  • Conducting scheduled weekly and monthly maintenance tasks (fire alarm tests, water temperature assessments, shower head cleaning, and chlorination).
  • Implementing the weekly store defrosting program.
  • Performing minor repairs to building fabric.
  • Carrying out minor painting and decorating tasks.
  • Executing minor plumbing repairs.
  • Handling minor joinery tasks.
  • Completing various general ad-hoc tasks.
  • All tasks performed in accordance with our Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
To join our enthusiastic team, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A diverse range of practical skills and experience in a trade, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and within set timeframes.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with strong customer service skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, with self-motivation and effective workload management.
  • Basic IT skills (familiarity with tablets, word processing, spreadsheets, and email is advantageous) along with good communication abilities.
  • A valid UK driver's license for roles covering multiple locations.
  • Physical fitness, as the role involves lifting heavy items and using ladders.
