About the Role:As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and support children in developing daily living skills for increased independence.
You will be responsible for building trusting relationships with pupils, communicating according to their understanding, and collaborating with the teaching team to create an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support children in developing daily living skills for increased independence
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and communicate according to their understanding
- Assist with classroom management to create an inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and report on the child's progress to facilitate appropriate adjustments in support
- A good understanding of the national Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 Curriculums
- Willingness and ability to adapt in response to changing circumstances
- To be a supportive member of the SEND team
- The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
- The confidence to evaluate learning needs and actively seek new teaching methods
- Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
