Business Affairs & Rights Executive

About the Role

Cineflix is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Affairs & Rights Executive to join our team in London. As a key member of our Rights Management team, you will be responsible for administering production rights, sales licences, and distribution agreements, ensuring accurate reflection in our databases and providing timely support to our sales and legal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret Deal Memos and accurately enter sales licence terms into our rights management system.
  • Perform rights and conflict checks on proposed sales and advise on any issues that arise.
  • Prepare and issue standard sales licences contracts, negotiating through to execution.
  • Interpret distribution agreements and dubbing agreements, accurately entering distribution rights and clearance restrictions.
  • Track programmes through the production and sales cycle, ensuring key dates are maintained and providing updated avails information.
  • Support sales and marketing departments with rights and programme information for launch and market schedules.
  • Serve rights queries from finance, legal, sales, and other executives in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a distribution, acquisition, and/or broadcast Business Affairs and/or Rights environment.
  • Experience in maintaining and interrogating databases, particularly rights management systems.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Legal background or university degree or recognised qualification desirable but not essential.
