Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at ABM. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and advising the Business on all aspects of Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement recommended improvements
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with managers and staff to establish and maintain a culture of health and safety within the organization
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments
  • Participate in monthly meetings to report on health and safety activities and progress
Requirements
  • Appropriate experience of operating in a similar role within a large organization
  • SENTINEL LUI
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • IOSH Managing Safely trained
  • Member of IOSH
  • Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate information and influence others
  • Proficient in handling of health and safety investigations
  • Experience of delivering training sessions
  • Full clean UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team
  • IOSH training approved
  • Possession of a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
  • Ability to organize workloads and to prioritize effectively
  • IT literate with the ability to use a full Microsoft Office package
