About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Supporting Independence Team (formerly Leaving Care Team) in Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a key member of our Permanence Service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pathway planning to our young people, ensuring they receive the best possible support and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert social work services to a small group of young people in care, developing and implementing effective pathway plans to support their transition into adulthood.
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-agency partners to deliver trauma-informed practice and motivational interviewing, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service to children and families.
  • Support and supervise Personal Advisors, providing guidance and expertise to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our 'Our Way of Working' practice model, ensuring a culture of shared learning and development within our team.
