About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at The Plough & Harrow, Malvern. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, driving food culture, and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and service
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a restaurant, gastro pub, or hotel
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
