Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school in Dukinfield, Tameside. This temporary position will commence immediately and run through until the Christmas break.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Encourage and support pupils to achieve their learning objectives.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within SEN settings.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational and emotional development.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN (desirable).
