About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Springwell Leeds Academy, a specialist provision for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Assist teachers in lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs).
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
