Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning & Development: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive commissioning strategies for a range of service portfolios, encompassing areas such as mental health prevention, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), and social care.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance of contracted services, ensuring they consistently deliver positive outcomes for clients. Implement robust monitoring programs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams, service providers, and external partners, to foster a collaborative and transparent commissioning environment.
  • Co-Production & Service Evaluation: Champion a co-production approach, actively involving clients and their families in the design and evaluation of services. Ensure that all commissioned services adhere to best practices and meet national standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the commissioning process, leveraging data analysis and feedback to enhance service delivery and achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
Qualifications & Experience:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual with a proven track record in commissioning and strategic planning within the health or social care sector. A relevant degree qualification is essential, along with substantial experience in policy development, service implementation, and performance management.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, coupled with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a real difference in people's lives.
