Job Title: Technical Author

About the Role:

Lionbridge is seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team. As a Technical Author, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation for a diverse array of land, sea, and air platforms. Your primary focus will be on delivering accurate and engaging content that meets the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for complex mechanical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in documentation.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation templates and styles to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • UK nationality and DBS level clearance or no known reason why clearance may not be granted.
  • Extensive technical authoring competence gained in a technical documentation environment within engineering.
  • Proven experience in creating and compiling Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP), demonstrating an understanding of military standards and specifications.
  • Familiarity with heavy armour, including armoured land vehicles, with an ability to understand and document complex mechanical systems and components.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong English language capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution abilities.
