Position Summary:

  • Design and execute a variety of lifelike visual effects, encompassing elements such as water, destruction, smoke, fire, and fantastical phenomena.
  • Modify simulations promptly in response to input from clients and supervisors.
  • Work closely with the Lighting team to ensure the seamless integration of FX elements.
  • Collaborate with the FX Supervisor and Leads to attain the desired artistic vision and technical accuracy.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an FX Artist within a production environment.
  • Expertise in Houdini and Maya.
  • Proven creative abilities and artistic sensibility.
  • A strong understanding of general simulation technologies.
  • Knowledge of physics, realistic motion, and various natural phenomena across different scales.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team, effectively addressing technical challenges as they arise.
  • Experience in compositing, shading, scripting, and programming is a plus.
