We are seeking a highly skilled Pipelines Technician to join our Network Maintenance team at Northern Gas Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our gas network.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake maintenance activities on cathodic protection systems and repair and replace components.
- Work on gas pipelines and associated assets, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental best practices.
- Prepare reports and provide information, guidance, and advice to stakeholders and management on technical matters.
- Maintain accurate records of activities to satisfy maintenance and capital projects, gas network, and legislative requirements.
- Work towards all perimeter requirements and procedures affecting the gas network.
- Continually ensure a high standard of customer and stakeholder service at all times.
- Experience working in a gas network and an understanding of pipeline operations.
- Ability to plan work efficiently and demonstrate comprehension of engineering principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions, and safety requirements.
- Hold a full UK driving license.
- Competitive salary starting from £42,354, rising to £45,533 once fully competent.

- 25 days holiday per year, plus 8 days bank holiday, plus 2 half days.
- Statutory Sick Pay for the first 7 calendar days, then Occupational Sick Pay thereafter.
