SEN Teacher Opportunity in Bournemouth

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team in Bournemouth. As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing tailored lessons that foster their academic and personal growth.

About the Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and teaching lessons that motivate and engage students with special educational needs. You will use individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies to support their learning and personal development. You will also build a positive classroom environment that encourages independence, resilience, and self-control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and teach lessons that cater to the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and personal growth.
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to provide well-rounded support for students.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to inform teaching practices.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience of working in a secondary school is preferred.
  • Experience of working with SEN students.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, including behaviour management techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
