Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Practitioner to join our team at Gi Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees, providing occupational health surveillance, health screening, and health promotion advice and guidance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Health and Wellbeing Support: Provide health and wellbeing support to employees, including health screening, health promotion, and health education.
- Occupational Health Surveillance: Conduct occupational health surveillance, including health assessments and health monitoring.
- Health Promotion: Develop and implement health promotion initiatives to promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
- Health and Safety: Work with the health and safety team to identify and mitigate health and safety risks in the workplace.
- Employee Support: Provide support to employees who are returning to work after a period of absence, including medical advice and guidance.
- Health Trends: Identify health trends within the organization and develop initiatives to prevent ill health and absence.
- Health Education: Provide health education to employees, including training and workshops on health and wellbeing topics.
- Health Initiatives: Develop and implement health initiatives, including health clinics and health promotion events.
Requirements:
- Experience: Experience in an occupational health position outside of a hospital environment.
- Qualifications: Recognized occupational health qualification and registered nursing qualification.
- Skills: Knowledge of current occupational health best practice, ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working, and ability to work in an organized and methodical manner.
