Our client is a leading business within the Renewable Energy sector, renowned for its innovative products and commitment to excellence.
Job Summary
- Develop and oversee financial reporting within the organization, establishing good reporting procedures.
- Produce management accounts monthly, working closely with the division finance manager and parent Group finance team.
- Assist with producing monthly results for discussion with senior management within Business Unit reviews.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and banking functions within the finance team.
- Promote good corporate governance within the organization.
- Meet reporting deadlines provided by the Group.
- Ensure that accounting information is prepared using appropriate accounting policies and estimates, and that these are understood in detail.
- Prepare year-end financial requests for the Group and group auditors.
- Manage the annual budget process, including the collation of information and preparation of reports, reporting to the division finance manager.
- Daily cash management and weekly cash forecasting.
- Liaise with the group tax function in managing tax risk.
- Assist the Group Tax team to ensure corporation tax returns are prepared and submitted within the deadlines.
- Ensure that the Value-Added Tax returns are completed within deadlines and that this is reconciled to the ledger on a monthly basis.
- Manage monthly payroll and submission.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant - CA/ACCA/CIMA will be considered, as well as qualified by experience.
- Industry experience is preferable.
- Experience of operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing a team, with logical thinking.
- Commercial awareness.
- Experienced communicator across the business, developing good working relationships within the team.
- Good Excel skills.
